About Me

My name is Milsy Davis, I am a certified Alexander Technique Teacher who graduated from ATTC Boston (Alexander Technique Training Center) under the direction of Ruth Kilroy.

The Alexander Technique (AT) has made a huge difference in my life.  While teaching dance at University, I sought out AT to deepen my knowledge of the body and to integrate the thinking into my classes.  While exploring the Alexander Technique, I was shocked to experience total relief from chronic pain I had been experiencing for many years with no lasting result from the medical world. I was hooked!

This personal experience convinced me to further explore AT, to complete a 3 year full-time program to become a teacher, and to dedicate my professional life to helping others to discover and realise the benefits I did by using the Alexander Technique.

I am a dancer by training and profession prior to dedicating myself to AT.  I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of the Arts and a Masters in Fine Arts in Dance from Temple University, both in the city of Philadelphia, USA.  I have 10 years of professional dance performance experience and 15 years of teaching as a Professor at various universities including Dean College, Temple University and Drexel University.

Recently (2016), I completed 1 year of part-time Post Graduate work at the teacher training center in Barcelona Spain under the direction of Nica Gimeno.
